What is blocking?
The block feature allows you to moderate who can interact with you on an individual user basis.
How does blocking impact my Clubhouse Experience?
When you block another user on Clubhouse:
- You won’t be able to add that user as a friend - if they’re already friended, they will be unfriended (but they won’t be notified about that, unless you friend them again).
- The user will still be able to see your profile.
- You won’t see when blocked people add you as a friend.
- Blocked users can’t see or join chats you’ve created.
- Other users can’t invite users who are on your blocked list to chats you’ve created.
- Blocked users will not be able to see or join any House rooms you create, moderate or are speaking in.
- You will see a warning before entering a House room someone you’ve blocked is already in.
- If you’re in a room, but you didn’t create it or aren’t speaking, you won’t be alerted to a blocked user also entering that room.
- Blocked users will not be able to see which users have blocked them.
