How to Create a Room
You can create live rooms from the hallway or in a House (if you have permission).
To create a live room:
- Tap the microphone button in the hallway or in your House.
- Select the House or group of people you’d like to create the room for at the top.
- Tap or slide to the live audio button to the right of the microphone to select the live room option.
- Tap again to reveal the setup options for the room.
- Add a room title, decide if replays and chat will be on, etc.
- Tap the green start room button at the bottom to go live.
Hand Raise for All
All live rooms (House, friend, friend-of-friend, interest-based, and public) have a hand-raise queue that gives moderators the ability to manage who can join the stage
The available options are:
- Everyone: All participants in the room can raise their hands.
- Friends of Speakers: Only friends of the speakers can raise their hand.
Replays On
Replays are available for live rooms created in Houses, but they must be turned on during room creation. Here’s what you need to know about replays:
- When Replays are on, participants will see a blue Replays On indicator at the top of the room.
- The room audio will be recorded and saved in the House settings menu for House members until deleted.
- You can find your replays in the saved replays section of your settings page or the House settings menu.
Note: Replays cannot be turned back on if they are disabled during the room. Any previously recorded audio will not be saved once Replays are turned off.
Room Moderation
Moderators have access to tools that help manage live room interactions, including:
- Hand Raise Queue: Moderators can control who can raise their hand to join the stage.
- Mute All Speakers: If the stage is too noisy, moderators can mute all speakers from the room settings.
- Turn Off Chat: If chat becomes distracting, moderators can disable it in the room settings.
Chat Moderation
If chat becomes unruly, you can moderate it by:
- Turning chat off entirely in the room settings.
- Deleting individual messages by long-pressing on any message that is inappropriate or not contributing to the conversation.
These moderation tools help maintain a smooth and positive live room experience.
