To protect Clubhouse and our users, our Community Guidelines don’t allow House names that use the word “Clubhouse” in ways that might confuse users about Clubhouse’s relationship with the House. We’ve put together these guidelines to help you avoid using the word in confusing ways.
These are guidelines and not strict rules. We may take action against any House name that we think confuses users, whether or not it follows these guidelines.
While it’s better not to use “Clubhouse” anywhere in your House name, if you need to use it, here are some things you can do to make it less confusing:
- Don’t use Clubhouse as the first (or only) word in your House name;
- Use the phrase “on Clubhouse” at the end of the House name instead of using “Clubhouse” at the beginning - e.g. “Movie fans on Clubhouse” instead of “Clubhouse Movie Fans”;
- Don’t use the name of an official Clubhouse House, event, or room as your House name (e.g. “Clubhouse Town Hall” or “Clubhouse HQ”);
- Include the word “Unofficial” in the House name;
- Don’t use the Clubhouse logo as your House logo.
If we think your House name, logo, or description might confuse users about whether your House is officially sponsored by Clubhouse, we may ask you to make changes or take other actions to avoid confusion.
