If you’re visiting a user’s profile, and you notice that their profile photo, bio, or another
part of their profile violates our guidelines:
- Press the “3-dot” menu in the top right corner of their profile
- Options will appear at the bottom of your screen - select “Report an incident”
- On the “Report an issue” screen that appears, select “They have a bad photo or profile”
- On the next screen, select the category of violation for the question “What is wrong on “Name’s” profile?” (such as “Impersonating Someone” or “Hate Speech”)
- Keep going through the remaining steps to provide more information about what’s wrong with the user’s profile in “Details of the incident.”
- Next, “Submit” your report using the green button in the top right corner of the screen
- Once you’ve submitted your report successfully, you should see a confirmation screen that says “The incident has been reported.”
If you’re in a Chat, Room, or VM, and you notice a user’s profile photo violates our
guidelines:
- Double tap the user’s avatar where it appears in the conversation
- You should see a preview of the user’s profile appear in the lower half of your screen
- Press the “3-dot” menu in the top right corner of the profile preview screen to pull up several options at the bottom of the screen.
- These options should include the option “Report an Incident” showing in red text. (You can also “Block” or “Remove as friend” here, too!)
- Select “Report an Incident”
- On the next screen, “Report an Issue,” select, “They have a bad photo or profile”
- On the next screen, select the category of violation for the question “What is wrong on “Name’s” profile?” (such as “Impersonating Someone” or “Hate Speech”)
- Keep going through the remaining steps to provide more information about what’s wrong with the user’s profile in “Details of the incident.”
- Next, “Submit” your report using the green button in the top right corner of the screen
- Once you’ve submitted your report successfully, you should see a confirmation screen that says “The incident has been reported.”
